Canzo, polenta, and Ghisallo

We drove to Canzo to visit Mauro, Monica, Beatrice, and Isabella. They treated us to lunch at Chalet Gabriele Polentoteca, a small restaurant above (way above) Ghisallo. (The photo above is a composite ... the table is actually rectangular.)

After lunch we stopped at Madonna della Ghisallo.

Cyclists will recall the name Ghisallo. Yes, the chapel of the patron saint of cyclists (and also the chapel in which Mauro and Monica were wed). The rafters are lined with famous cycles, although now many of them have been moved to a museum next door. The chapel is certainly a must-see. The museum may be worth a visit but is comparatively sterile ... not the same thrill.
